Yeah as you know, it doesn't really work unless it gets well up the front page. If you promoted it today it would take about 28 pumps or so to get to the top. That's what, $96 total? And it is way worse on the weekends. Some people promote it up to 1.35, which costs like $160+.
14 views though, wow. That's ridiculous. Contest entries get way more views than that. That's why I only write for contests and never promote anything anymore.
This is a great Dragonskulls signature piece with hilarious use of ornate vocabulary. I especially liked stanza 6 -- for that, I'm giving it a 6.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how much it cost to get up to the top on here. Even when it's something showing my name, with all the fans I'm suppose to have, it rarely gets any views, let alone reviews. Yeah, that's pretty well all I've ever done on here was enter contests. I've been on here umpteen years now and think there was only one time I ever posted just to post. Lol. Oh we all should know by now the vagaries of reviewers on this site. Fake money comes and goes... you'll no doubt get some more from this contest to waste on other poems. I wonder how many reviews you'll get for this well-penned offering, for just 20cents a pop.

Feel privileged you got the 20 cents. Everyone after you only gets 2 cents. Haha You were one of the lucky first two reviewers that gets a little bonus for reviewing. Lol
Yes, I don't know why, whenever on the rare occasion I do promote, I would expect more. That wasn't 'reviews' that I got for it, it was 'views.' Only 14 people even looked at it in that 24 hour time period. If I was in it for the money, I'd at least open it up to see what it offered for a payout for reviewing it. But nope, 14 views on a piece that offered 82 cents. Granted, it was just another ridiculous story but it was for a blind contest and didn't have my name on it. I could understand only 14 views if my name was up there, but... Lol. I just don't get this place sometimes.
