There is so much pain in this poem it's almost palpable. I'm a optimist when it comes to life and no matter how bad things get I think that paradise can be found on earth if we just look. Thank you for sharing this thought provoking poem.

This is very powerful Charity and very moving. But you know within yourself that death is not the answer you are looking for. Your depression is strong - but you are too - and be courageous enough to live one day at a time and chase those demons telling you it is easier to end it all. Find something in nature to find hope and happiness in, and help your mind to unwind. And don't forget you have a Heavenly Father who loves you. Sending you my best wishes and hugs.

This work so resonates with me. Five years of therapy and a pill every day helps me move on. Things are getting better, but it is a long, hard fight. Those who haven't reached low depths, seem overly ready to knock us down again. I wish you the best with this and life.

Do you follow or read Blacktitanium86 or the 13th poet. Entrenched in the BLM theories. Both are wonderful writers. The 13th, a more open mind often states his people are to blame for their plight as much as whites.

Father Ratzmann gave a sermon about redemption; perhaps it was meant for each one of us.
He identified many Saints and commented on their holy experiences.
He went on to note their many failings, including bad treatment of men, women, and animals; immorality, alcohol and drugs.
After they gained enlightenment and repented, theyrealized that they were not just anybody, nobody, anyone, or everyone; but "somebody; their lives changed.
He said: "All Saints have a past, all Sinners have a future."

It's always about stopping that nagging voice inside your head screaming the pain at you and you will do anything to stop it. Hopefully, not death. What a wonderfully written poem about the struggle to just survive. Best of luck with your writing!
