Fond memories? You are in the minority. As for me and the USNavy I been to Argentina, Hong Kong, the P.I., Okinawa, Japan, and the Aleutian chain. Ten years, five playing All- Navy basketball. Aye. I have good memories too.

I was active duty for 2 years,
my late husband was in for
8 years. We met in DC. We
both wanted ship duty, but
women weren't yet allowed
on aircraft carriers. We
got transferred to Gulfport,
Missisippi. I was in reserves
for a short time. Then, I flew
over the cuckoo's nest. My
husband stayed on active
duty until 1988. There was
a loyalty we still felt for the
Navy. You had quite a tour
with the Navy. All-Navy
basketball sounds like it
may have been good for you.
