Wow, this is amazing writing, Ric. You certainly are good at creating metaphors, painting detailed descriptions of people and surroundings.
This whole paragraph said so much, "Big Heavy retaliated landing a vicious over-hand right. Nearly the circumference of the aggressor's head, Heavy's wadded fist struck the man's face harder than a sledgehammer shot from a cannon. Teeth tumbled out of his mouth like bowling pins scattering to an adjacent alley. Then, his head hit the floor, making a squishy, smushed pumpkin runover-by-a-tractor-tire sound. Lifeless, he lay flat on his back in a distant stare."
I like the cliff-hanger too. Don't keep us waiting too long for the next chapter. :)

Thank you so much, Judy, for your extra-special six-star review and kind words. As I'm sure you noticed, I cut out the fragments and gave you full sentences. LOL. I'm glad you liked it. I appreciate YOU, and your encouragement!

You're most welcome, Ric, and yes I did notice. lol

I hope I get to read the next installment. You definitely left me wanting to know what comes next with your closing "cliff hanger." Your descriptions really paint the picture. Great writing.

Thank you so much, Judy, for your extra-special six-star review and kind words. I posted a chapter two weeks in a row, which I never do. But I did that with you in mind hoping that you could read the whole story before your exciting summer on the golf course. LOL. I appreciate YOU! And I'm sure going to miss your smiling face and encouraging reviews!

Great continuation of the story with the writing style matching the character of the protagonist perfectly. I was engaged throughout, waiting for the next move. Can't wait to keep reading. So well done.

Thank you so much, Tim, for your extra-special six-star review and the nice words. I'm always honored when talented writers like you take time to read and review my foolish farces and find something to entertain you. Much appreciated!

A lot of things are happening. I liked all the interesting characters you showed us as I've never been in a gambling place and those mobster types and Bigger Than King Kong types are quite the shock to imagine. And then there's the fun song that you bring in to explain Tucker's self control. It's good he's alert and thinking straight and has the forethought to protect Tammy Jo and TD.

Thank you so much, Helen, for starting my day off with a smile. It's always extra-special when the story is way outside the reader's comfort zone and they still take time to read it, plus offer such an outstanding review and comments. Your a champ, my dear! I appreciate YOU!

Appreciation is mutual! 💖

Yay! We didn't have to wait too long for this third installment. Your writing is always crisp, descriptive with that certain "tone" of menace with a veneer of wit, that makes it addictive!
Not sure what "an elegant gold SEQUENCED dress is"--- (Sequined maybe?)
But if you tell me it's a " thing" I'll believe you!
Packed with action ... and (clever you)--
Leaving us anxiously awaiting what's to come!
No sixes left...will you take a sun, moon, and oh, comet?

Thank you so much, Karenina, for your generous review, kind words, and suggestions. You never know what words I might use, and most of the time, I don't know what half of them mean or how they are spelled. I just wing it. As for "sequenced," it means: arranged in a particular order. What that has to do with a dress? Probably nothing. I was meaning the whole outfit. So, I guess, I better try "sequined" to see if anyone understands it better. I think that means material with those little reflecting discs. LOL. Much appreciated!
-
Oh...sequenced.... A dress arranged in a particular clear order...
Golly gee!
Like arm holes where the arms go and stuff!?
You can tell I'm a fashionista, huh?
It f it can"t be worn with sneakers...
Well...
You see my problem!
Carry on.
99.9% of the time I'm out in left field, picking daisies!
(Sequined ones...lol!)
-
My mind must have been out in a field of daisies writing this chapter. I mean, I thought it was fun, but there aren't many wanting to read it. Huh, and I think this chapter is much better than last that was mostly just setting the stage. Oh, well, we never know. I can see you in sneakers and an extra long tee-shirt type dress, and the fashion police flocking with cameras. LOL.
-
You are much too modest! As it sits right now you have 26 total reviews...and out of those you have THIRTEEN six-star reviews! A fifty percent "six-star" rate! Even in my sneakers a tee-shirt dress I can tell fine writing when I see it! Take a bow!
-
Thank you for always saying nice things to make me smile, even when I don't think I have anything to smile about. Hope you're feeling better, and the family is too!
-
Thanks! We're peachy keen once more!

I enjoyed reading this post, ( Part-3).
This is well written, descriptive and creative. The dialogue has an authentic quality and flows very naturally.
The change in font/size is effective for emphasis.
Thanks for sharing your talent.

Thank you so much, K.L., for your generous review and kinds words, and for coming back for another part. I'm going to try and finish things up with one more part. But, if it gets too long I'll have to make it two. I'm glad you liked it. Much appreciated!

This is a good chapter with a lot of characters involved. The boots were a great clue. Tucker is worth what he is being paid
This is a good chapter with lots of characters introduced. The combat boots were a quality clue. Tucker isn't being paid enough for what he does. I'm enjoying this but rather concerned for Tammy.

Thank you so much, Carol, for your kind words and generous review. I'm just a silly old man who entertains himself with foolish farces that hopefully take us on a ride. Doing the things, I wish I still could. LOL. Thanks for taking time to my foolishness. I appreciate YOU!

You know I always love your exaggerated stories, Ric! And I'm gonna miss them... gotta leave the site for a little bit and won't be that active on my paid account cause I gotta pay for some other things... but I'll still be reading LOL. Tucker is such a character... and I love his adventures! And I'm so glad to see your more active too since you haven't been lately...

Thanks, John, for tuning in to part 3, your generous review, and kind comments. I'm a goof who entertains myself with my foolish farces. Old, broke down, and unable to keep up the pace of the past, I live through my pen, and iced tea, and my La-Z-Boy. Much appreciate, my friend! Ric

You can keep the iced tea, but I'll take the pen and the La-Z-Boy.

Here I am finished reading part 3 of Tucker at Poker Night (Part-3)
Let me say you have an ingenious way of keeping me wanting to read about a Texas Hold'em buy-in is $5,000, with a $5,000 one-time re-buy. Not a poor boy's game. Twenty-seven tables, nine-seats per, and if every player re-buys, the total payout equals $2,430,000."
I like how describe the characters your colorful way you described Tammy. Now do I need to read your previous chapters?

Thank you so much, Gert Sherwood, for your generous review and kind words. I haven't seen you around for a while, but it's always nice to see your name pop up. I don't want to blow my own horn, but I like to think that each part is important in creating the characters and getting the jest of the whole story. So, yes, I think you will find each part entertaining and helpful to where the next parts of the story are going, which I don't even know yet. LOL. I always appreciate getting your reviews!
