Second to last stanza: 'And we need to our part' I think 'do' belongs between 'need' and 'to'.
Otherwise, spot on. The message is clear with or without the 'do'.

This well done free verse shows that Corona virus seems to be winning the war because people aren't doing what they need to do to defend against. That one million have died is so sad. It is so easy to get vaccinated and boostered. Though it doesn't keep you from getting it, it does keep you from dying from it and that should be enough. Both my sister and my daughter got COVID for a second time after getting vaccinate and boostered. I haven't gotten it yet.
I hope you've stayed away too.

I have gotten my first boost and doing a second one. My wife had such a horrid experience with J and J that she is not boosted. we are traveling to the States this summer and hopefully we will be okay.
