My ex-husband and I used to enjoy watching Sherlock Holmes on PBS on a Friday evening. Unfortunately that all came to and end, so I didn't know about the death of Sherlock. Again, I've learned something from this interesting plot you've got going here. Well done.

Thank you for the very kind review.
It was all true. There was a public uproar.

You're most welcome, Wayne.

What an interesting concept thst of characters being available, waiting to be contracted out, so that the authors have readymade, that's probably why I rarely write fiction. I love the dialogue between characters and Conan Doyle, this is a touch of genius Wayne, well done, blessings Roy

"The book wrote itself". No it didn't. The author contracted a professional from the Guild who ad libbed and steered the writer around the block. lol
Thank you for the review. (but I'm not a genius!)

You seem to be a Sherlock fan as well. Enjoyed this chapter and the fun you had with it. I'm glad that Doyle already had some other work for Sherlock to do. It seems the movies have also created odd ways for Sherlock to stay alive as well. I wonder what other more important work that Doyle had in mind to focus on? He did get sidetracked by believing and fairies etc...

Hah!
Wikipedia details how busy he was. He earned knighthood for some of it.
Thank you for the very nice review.

The return of Sherlock would be classical and interesting. So are you going to make up new stories to for him to solve? I would like to connect with William Shakespeare myself. Good luck, and happy writing.

Thank you for the review.
Actually, this is based on truth. Arthur Conan Doyle did kill Sherlock in 'The Final Problem' and then resurrect him in 'Adventures of the Empty House'. All the facts in my story were true.
And yes, Shakespeare is on my list.
Thanks again.

I enjoyed this, Wayne. I'm a huge fan of sherlock and you have cleverly brought him back through his creator. He is a missed character and is always welcome back to any literary format or movie screen. Well done!

Ah! I'm a big fan as far as his character goes. I'm not privy to any background, until now! Thank you, Wayne

This is another great edition of your Literary Guild trials. My mother has always been a fan of Sherlock Holmes. I never have been, but I still enjoyed your story. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work!

Hi Wayne,
Ah, yes, the offing of Mr Holmes. A most dissatisfactory outcome it was, indeed.
You literary guild McGuffin at play once again here. There could be no end of these, but please don't make it so! lol
Nice adaption to character of Watson & Holmes, although there are so many interpretations out there at the minute, you can get away with almost anything. lol
Nice one

My thoughts, precisely!
A writer could get away with murder!
Thanks for the review.
