It is so appreciated, as I wasn't sure about sharing the story, but feel much better after your review. It is about 8 inches tall; not too big but it sure is a comforting rock. I never thought of this before, but I never felt this same way about cross jewelry, because that is man made. But this is made by God, regardless if it holds a Divine message or not. This rock still means as much to me as when we first brought it in, so thank you once again for your awesome review!

You are right Dolly, it really doesn't mean as much without the photo.
I set it up that way purposely to be as mysterious for the reader as it was for us finding it. Thus making it a more enjoyable poem to read. I mean no disrespect, just trying to explain why this one was done that way.
Had I not used a photo I would have worded it differently.. Time after time I read many of the same type of poems that are difficult to understand even with the photo. Thank you my friend for how kind you truly were in reviewing my poem!

My only struggle with this one line poem is that it relies heavily on the picture for context. Without the picture, this piece is a little hard pressed to stand alone. I also had to read the subtext in order to fully appreciate and understand its meaning. All in all, this is obviously a neat and very personal piece of your family journey. Thanks for sharing!

It actually gave me the chills with the peaceful feeling, and still means just as much to me, so it truly feels like a divine message of comfort and peace.
And even if thats not the case, I still love it. : )

How unusually beautiful. This is the rock that kept the dark forces away and carried you through the twenty years you've had it with you. It's a family heirloom that perhaps you will hand off to protect your family through generations. Wonderful Piece and the crucifix rock as well.

The significance of things depends on our own point of view - someone else might have thrown it away as a useless piece of rock, but having the sacred cross marked on it makes it an item to reinforce faith. Nature is wonderful... it always carries God's creative messages.

The picture does as much for this piece as the poem does. It is amazing what turns up in ones life from time to time. There are forces in the universe that we will never understand. That is where faith comes in.
