Thank you, Sandra, for your generous words of praise. I am so pleased that you enjoyed this poem. I took great delight in penning it.
It didn't place anywhere in the contest which was mildly disappointing. It was up against some great poets. However it was very well received by the wider audience so I am very delighted with that.

What a lovely poem about the bees and the flowers. You have a lot of playful fun with words here with "stigmatized" flowers which refers both to the stigma in the botanical sense but hints at a "deflowering" stigma while those bees flew home and helped to fertilize dreams/seeds of the next generation.

Honestly, your written words in entirety speak of your great love for flowers. I started developing a gradual love for flowers when I moved to the West, and I constantly observed the differences in shape, growth, size, and density of flowers with the seasons.
