Hi jessizero Thank you for your review and yes she was a special lady
We laid her to rest yesterday under a sunny sky surrounded by yellow flowers , her favourites and now she is at peace with Dad and my brother Jim
Will miss her very much

Hi Helen Thank you and yes Mum was worth sharing and now she is with Dad and brother Jim. We had a beautiful funeral service for her and a sunny day with lots of lovely yellow flowers ( her favourite). I wore her pearls
We will miss her as we do Dad and Jim
Also lost my brother-in-law the same week as Mum he had a massive heart
attack only 68 so yes we have had a couple of sad weeks
Our good memories hold us together and the love I my family and friends
I am very fortunate in many ways

Oh, Chris, I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing our mums is really hard. Mine left me 8 years ago, she was 86, too. But she wanted to be with my dad. We all miss our parents, there is no greater love that we experience than the love of a mother. This is a lovely tribute to her, my friend, and I'm sure she was peeping over your shoulder as you wrote it. Warm hugs, and good luck in the contest. Sandra xxx

Oh, Chris, I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing our mums is really hard. Mine left me 8 years ago, she was 86, too. But she wanted to be with my dad. Hi Sandra Thank you so much and yes we will miss Mum very much, but gave her a beautiful service and burial ( The day after Mothers day which was hard , but with the love and support of our lovely family and friends we have done well. I am so grateful and lucky to have so many lovely people in my life including my FS friends and appreciate everyone.
Yes a second place for my poem so Mum and I are happy with that too

Hi Nancy Thank you very much for your kind words and yes Mum was very much loved by so many. We gave her a beautiful funeral and I know she was with us also in spirit
86 a great age Nancy and Mum lived a full life also. my Dad was 88 and also wrote beautiful poetry right up to his passing .
I do believe that writing has a special place in many a heart and I enjoy all the poems here on FS in including yours Nancy
We will keep on with our pen in hand

Hi Pam Many Thanks for your lovely words and extra star so much appreciated at this sad time for me and yes We gave Mum a lovely service and I have had so much beautiful support from my family and friends here and on FS site I feel so blessed to have such wonderful caring people in my life . Can?t ask for much more.

Hi Janice Thank you very much and yes often for me writing is my outlet and I thought Mum deserved a tribute this year ( we gained a second place in the contest so both smiling) mum had a lovely funeral on Monday this week so she is now at peace with my Dad and brother

Hi Robyn Thank you my friend and yes it was very sad to lose Mum but she was ready to go and now she is with Dad and my brother Jim
We gave her a beautiful service a d laid her to rest on a sunny day surrounded by lovely bright yellow flowers
My lovely friends and family here and a far including my FS family have been a wonderful support and I am truely blessed to have so many in my life and appreciate each one
My poetry is also my outlet for sharing many emotions, as ai am sure it is for many others
