Chris, I read your poem earlier and wanted to tell you what a beautiful account of your very lovely mother's life. I am so sorry for your loss, as it sounds like it was just recently that she passed. I know how hard it is, especially on Mother's Day, but I am sure she has read this and felt it from your heart, as it was truly a beautiful honor to her memory. Congrats on your win!

Hi Debi Thank you and yes Mum passed away on 30/4/22 and we buried her on Monday 9/5/22 so yes very recently
Mothers Day this year was very hard knowing we were to lay Mum to rest the next day
However we did give her a lovely funeral a bright sunny day and now Mum is with Dad
I think poetry is a wonderful way sometimes to release many feelings and I use it often for that purpose
A second place was a bonus for my poem this year

Thank you Lisa and yes we laid mum to rest yesterday and it was a beautiful service snd a sunny day . We will miss Mum but know she is with Dad and my brother Jim

Hi Wendy Thank you very much and yes we laid Mum to rest yesterday with a beautiful service and one of her songs was I walk with God a very stirring piece

Hi Karenina Thank you for your review snd yes we laid Mum to rest yesterday with a lovely service and surrounded by yellow flowers ( Mums favourites) Yes I think no matter how many years passes by we miss our loved ones and i shall miss Mum very much but know she is now with my Dad and brother. In heaven

Hi Roy Thank you my friend snd yes Mum was a gentle soul
We laid her to rest yesterday with a beautiful Church service and family burial
Mum had a strong Christian faith and we had the songs I walk with God , Raise me up and The twelfth of Never all very stirring and brought many tears.
Mum is now with Dad and my brother Jim and I will miss her terribly
