Oh, come ON! You did not just make this tanka into a pine tree! Wait, yes you did! There ought to be ten extra stars to award for very cool creativity... Love the "read" but the overall effect is mind-blowing...
"stitch a quilt of needles" ~~ SO GOOD!

Hello Gypsy :)
I enjoyed reading your tanka - the presentation is spectacular! So creative and pretty - it adds an extra dimension to your work.
Your words are very well chosen - descriptive and stirring the senses.
I like the personification of the pines and your lovely touches of alliteration throughout.
Best wishes as always, Debra x

Hello,
This is my first opportunity to review your work.I chose this one as I find it an astounding piece for the following reasons, that seem also to speak to your strengths:
-Layout and presentation,
-Focus on energy of trees, patterns and fractals in nature,
-Nicely scented poem, olfactory notes,
-Movement and variation in wind, for example,
-Crisp, clear, effervescent word choices.
-Superb artistry and skill.
A pleasure to read and absorb its messages.Have a nice day.

What a beautiful picture of the majestic pines in the foggy mist, Gypsy. I could smell the minty myrrh of those trees through the gentle winds. Very well done, greatly enjoyed. Blessed be n hugs!

The most magnificent pines I ever saw in my life was on the border of France with Switzerland, it was winter and the scene was magnificent. You brought the pines to life here and I love the picture you have drawn here both visually and spiritually, love Dolly x

This is such a lovely shape tanka poem! And I like how you describe the appearance (quilt) and then the smell (minty myrrh) and end with the sensation of autumn's coolness.

This is a great shape poem/tanka, Gypsy.
I really like the image, but your shape in
words and symbols is great, too. Your
words were well thought out with great
imagery. Your poem is beautifully presented.
Respectfully, Jan
