I like like this poem- the presentation is beautiful- and the poem tells its story perfectly- moving down the path of life ever quickly - trees naturally create obstacles causing us to loose direction- canusing us to slow- if we stop momentarily and listen to the birches- and look between them - we will see the trail once more - slow down- live in the moment- and our path will become visible in the stillness. Zen. Good job

The flow was absolutely beautiful, the soul of a poet!!
To make syllables sound like everyday speech. Fantastic!
The picture fits nicely as well! Thank you!

Sounds and looks like a runners' paradise. Perfect satisfaction on the line sand syllable count. I would want to slow down too, if I were there. Very nice.

Very well-written poem, almost a Haiku. The message of 'being here/now' rather than living in abstractions is evident. The last line captures it all...clearly you have a future in poetry.

Well done on this Tanka. Silver birches are so beautiful and I like the picture you have chosen. I like the message they are sending, to slow down and enjoy the moment.
