What a precious photo, Yvonne. I loved reading about your tiny
visitor. Great job with the complex style of first and last. You
handled it well. I love the story you told. So many believe all
insects are . . .whatever. But this little guy is precious. It knew
you had good vibes and wouldn't hurt it. Wow, an hour's time on
your hand was special for both. I understand the peace you
got from this special visit--nature has a way of instilling that
on those who take the time to enjoy all the beautiful things found.
Respectfully, Jan

You have done excellent work on this First and Last poetic form, Yvonne. Great choice of rhymes and above all... the unique and endearing theme of your visitor. It seems he wants to be your pet :). An enjoyable read.

Awe, Yvonne, this is just too sweet. It almost put a tear to my eye. He really took a shine to you, didn't he, the little critter?
In your subtitle: I think you mean your first and last Poem...

Hell Yvonne,
How fun. We don't have mantis's here. I think they're kind of neat, all except the part where the female eats the male, that's just rude. It's funny where we find pleasure. The little things can bring such joy. Thanks for sharing this.
Have a blessed day.

Well said Yvonne. There is always plenty to be grateful for, we just need to look.
Blessings.

This poem, My Tiny Prisoner, is a neat verse capturing this moment of Zen with the fierce and stately looking entomological icon. Good to not be living the opposite sizes.

I absolutely loved the picture of the praying mantis on your hand, damommy. Your words were beautiful because they always kept in mind your tiny visitoro. Great job, very well done and immensely enjoyed.

He is a cutie. It reminds me of a grasshopper. I see many here in Michigan. I do not know how they get into my house. I have traps to catch them. I do not like them in my basement, but I will take them over any other insect. Thank you for sharing.

So cute. I love praying mantis' - they are beautiful creatures. Must have been quite a temptation not to describe his appearance in more detail for the reader. They are truly fascinating.
I did wonder whether your first and last lines were meant to be "...same day, same way", or whether you intended to say "say way". I couldn't really figure out what that would mean, but perhaps that's just me!
Great job!

Aw, that is so sweet, dear SATP, that he wouldn't leave you and still stayed on the glass door. That is a lovely photo you managed to take, did you do it, or did you have someone nearby to take it for you? I love the poem, it's like a love story, the Praying Mantis loves Yvonne! Loved it, dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx
