This a perfect example of how so few words can affect mood, emotions, and scenic visions with the force of a novella. I read little poetry, but I'm glad we have crossed paths. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ric. I am glad you like my little bits of poetry. I do love to write in form and meter. FreeVerse is a bit of a challenge, as is prose, but I dabble with it from time to time. But, I must admit that after taking the FS Poetry classes, my perception of verse improved.. a lot! Thanks so much!

Ciao Sugarray!
Love the artwork and your wee poem.
Never been a person to say much .. then 8 months after my father s passing I started to think in rhyme.
Crazy , I know.
I started writing wee poems in July 2018 . I must say over this short lapse of time , I have began to enjoy this art.
It grew on me .
Keep safe!

Melissa,
What a beautiful picture. We all wish we could enjoy more of this beauty.
Poetry allows us to do that. We look for beauty to write about.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Poetry is therapy and a positive addiction. It helps heals, release emotions and hidden truth. It also helps others. The image you chosen is beautiful. Love it

An unquenchable thirst for the beauty within poetry is born from an unquenchable thirst for the magic and mystery of life. Never enough is a wonderful thing because we remain ever open to more and the ability to share with others the constant flow of blessings we receive. Your words and picture do this perfectly.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Sugarray77, Lovely poetry sentiment and 15 syllables exactly.
This is a poem that many can/will relate to. Beautiful, tranquil
photo choice. A pleasure to read. As this is a contest entry, I wish
you good luck. LateBloomer

Lovely work. The scene in the picture looks so inviting. So true. A great poem should leave you wanting more. Some poets, it seems, tend to write the same-old, same-old type of poem so it sounds like we're reading the same thing over and over. It needs to be something fresh. Your words flow beautifully and you near rhyme works perfectly. Best of luck in the contest. judi

These mere fifteen syllables are powerful in their message. The desire to write poetry is held deep within just as the desire to paint or play an instrument is deep within the painter or musician.

What a peaceful entry. I think that the photo contributes a lot to your lovely words. I would make the words green to complete the aura that you create. Or, have a green background and white words.
I like how you presented your fifteen syllables in a single line. This is a nice post. It could easily win.
