I love the holding of old friends close. I have one of 62 years! We still see each other occasionally. And I pick up new friends constantly.

However, having lost many such dear ones, as the sun rises each morning

Yes, we must never forget them, nor do I want to. As the years are passing, so more of my friends and family are being called home. It's hard some days, and sad. We can and will be seeing them again, and it will be wonderful. Keep writing your lovely rhyming poems, my friend, they always give me a lift. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

This was a great poem. I enjoyed reading. It is true, at night we go to bed with a new situation to think about. Every day something new makes us happy or sad. We go to bed everynight with something different to think about. And then there are those memories. That bring a smile to our face. And knowing one day we will reunite. Thank you for sharing.
