You have a beautiful way to live, Jaybird. I imagine each day is hard and when you get to the end, it's a big accomplishment and then God gives you the strength for a new day and you keep going on with love for your loved ones!

I enjoyed the flow and rhymes of this lovely poem. A perfect poem for those of us growing older. The only question I have is regarding the word "never" in the last line, which (unfortunately) doesn't flow as well as the rest of the poem. Not sure why, but for me the final line needs to be adjusted.

To have a true friend is a blessing indeed rare and beyond compare. Hard to find and even more difficult to replace. If they are willing to hold on to you, failure to do likewise is a tragedy hard to repair or make right.
