A nicely rhymed poem that speaks from your heart. Those that were with us never truly leave us - I think that's one of life's comforts. For the record, I like poetry that rhymes best too.

Sweet little poem with a nice rhyming pattern that doesn't come across as too forced. Really love the line "still burdened with the nightime heart". Very poetic. Good job!

This is a nice warm-hearted post that celebrates the lives of those who have been such a big part of our own lives. They are always there, especially parents and other close relatives. I always think of my mom, as I am going through my day. The cadence and rhyme, the softened meter, are all nicely composed here to give a down home, grounded feel to this poem. Very natural and down to earth. estory
