This is a great poem with its aabb rhyming scheme. I love sonnets. It was the first work I'd ever read by Shakespeare. And it was one of the first poems I'd written. Great job.

Your type of sonnet is wonderfully written in smooth iambic tetrameter
excellent aabb rhymes. Perfect reflective couplet/sonnet on the
importance of friends who help us in this life.
Life would be empty without good friends and family.

This poem has a smooth meter and reminds us that those that are no longer bodily here are with us in our memories. They will be until we die and then we will see them again.

As my older sister, perhaps nears her end at seventy-eight, this poem could be handy to remind her life is short but life after death never ends, and hopefully, she'll reunite with family and friends that made those memories.
