I enjoyed this wee true story. You did a creative job with the prompt. This is well written and a good contest entry that should do well. I think the dialogue that begins the story added dimension.

I enjoyed reading this slice-of-life story. Your sister was quite a bit older, so of course she was the one in charge. I never heard of that commercial. 'Little Liver Pills' sounds very 50's advertising style. Best regards, Lilly

Yes, Inner Sanctum was a bit of radio version of Twilight Zone. I actually think it may have made it to TV in the mid-fifties. I appreciate your time an dour kind words. ann

Evidently, in those days the reception was not good for the radio. The radio still can have that same problem when you have it on in the car. It depends on the reception and the location of the radio tower.

This is a delightful childhood memory. It has always amazed me how people listened to scary radio shows and watched similar TV shows and movies. I never had any interest in such, finding some of life's trials sufficient provide more than enough fear. I believe the show was Inner
Sanctum.

I believe you are correct on the name of the show. I will correct that. I also avoid scary stories, TV and movies -- but I had no control on those nights and they still clearly rest in my mind. Now they bring a smile, instead of fear! Thanks for reading, commenting and sharing your thoughts. ann
