Your words ring so true and so heartbreakingly when we see what a wasteland is currently being pulverized in parts of Ukraine. What is the point, we wonder. A fight to the death just leaves dead people.
Your image from WW1 is chilling - history repeats. Still, life rose again from the wasteland so we have to keep our hope.

Yeah, what's happening over there is totally uncalled for. Those poor people. I couldn't imagine. Hopefully he won't make the whole world a wasteland.

Whenever I come across a great pic, I save it to my computer. I wen't searching through old files and came on this one and went with that. Thank you for another fantastic review, Lisa. I really appreciate it.

I like how this is a monostich as well as a 10-word poem, and a good message in those 10 words too - that we should appreciate what we have. At least, that's what it says to me: Don't wait until it's become a wasteland.

Thank you for the great review, Sarah. I'm sure I've seen one but I'm not real sure what a monostich is. If it is, is was purely coincidental. Lol. I really appreciate the generous stars, S. Thank you again.

I only learnt it last year on a blog about poetry, but a monostich is a 1-line poem (like yours), or a line in a poem that stands out without the help of other lines.

Though the picture shows us a WWI soldier, your ten-word poem could apply to any war. Will mankind ever learn there is nothing gained from warfare? Rod

Thank you for the great review and stars, Rod. I was going through pictures I have stored on my computer and came across this one and just wanted to use. it. Yes, nothing is ever gained from war. That's for sure.
