This is a lovely poem. I especially liked the clever last line about onesies and tutus. A quick entry into the world and quickly growing up too, it sounds like..

I remember onesies. Sounds like you are a very proud and loving grandfather.
I have a picture of my granddaughter when she was about3 or 4, wearing a tutu, and holding a baseball bat (toy one). I treasure that picture. It is so typical of her.
This poem is lovely and ... it just dawned on me, but I think I'm wrong, that you were also making a little pun or fun with onsies and "two-twos".
Probably not. :)

I am all agog waiting to see what she will do, when she reaches age three. Four, five and six, are also in the mix. Seven, eight and nine, she will be just fine. By age thirteen, she might very well be a dancing queen.

I really liked this poem. What a clever way to show the growth of a child through the dance outfits she wears. "Onesies to tutus" is quite original.
And before you know it, she's waltzing in a wedding gown!

I like the possible analogy for life here - dance/her life. I also liked the transition from baby to young child with the use of onesies and tutus. A lot is said in your 3-line poem. Good luck in this contest.

They do grow up too fast. One day an infant and next they are an adult. I like the picture and the story. Now she is a ballerina. Thank you for sharing this poem.

This is an neat entry for the three line poem contest. I get the feeling a lot of your poems are picture inspired. I like the play on words of onesies to tutus. Kids grow up fast.
