I found you late in the month, but already my heart is brimming. You have a poet's heart and a heart of love ~ the two mesh perfectly together, and I promise I will bookcase this one and be back (when I catch up!) to savor each and every offering. This is beautiful. Congratulations on a job well done. I hope it's been as cathartic for you as it's been for me, and I've read but two or three! SO glad I fanned you! I won't be missing anymore, I assure you!

And what a fine Petrarchan sonnet this is. Yes it has been a month of learning and sharing. The Poem a Day contest, is a great way to learn.
Your sonnet is written to perfection, and I very much enjoyed reading your pristine metre and rhyme and most importantly sentiment.
Well done. :))

Well, we made it! I have really enjoyed this adventure in your company, it helped make it easier.
I's a good idea to have put the epilogue as your last chapter. You can close off actually on the 30th, and move onto other things in the morning. Me, I am struggling. The epilogue is still in my head, and yet I so want to include it... I feel as though I have just been to the dentists and had all my teeth pulled out. I can't settle to doing anything, including sleeping. And I need a new project for May. Love Kate xx

Oh, dear Kate! I struggled with my epilogue for the last four days! I knew I had to get it done last night because we needed to help our youngest move out today. So much moving in our family these days! Hehe, your analogy about the teeth is fantastic. I have been moping about this evening twiddling my thumbs. Yes! A May project would be nice. :) Can't wait to read your epilogue.

AS I've said many times, when it comes to poetry, I wouldn't know a sonnet from sorbet, unless it's on a spoon. I've so enjoy reading along with your alphabetical list of poems, and I'm even happier for you and your mother that everything ended up on such a happy note with her selling the house. Thanks for sharing.

So moving. And even though I knew this story already, I think I'm going to cry as well. The phrase, "I fight to hold back tears" is so... touching. Love you and this poem.

Oh, so that is why none of you is buying the house - to be sure no one is viewed as the favored one? I'm glad that your mother has a peace about it all and that you have written such a fine tribute to your beautiful memories of the house.
I see the laundry chute has found its mention again in this last poem! Congratulations on your fine finish to the NaPoWriMo!!

Your lovely sonnet brings your book to an end with lyrical style.. Congratulations Mama Baer..I enjoyed the variety and vitality with which you used the alphabet to introduce readers to your childhood home. I'm sorry I don't have a six left for you.
Good luck in the voting booth. Stay safe and blessed

Dear Julia, it was a wonderful personal challenge. I wasn't sure I could do it! I had not heard of NaPoWriMo until this year! I have so enjoyed your offerings, as well. Thank you for your continual support and encouragement! We did it!

Bye bye family home... now another family will create their memories there, and it seems a relief for your mother to move on to the next stage of her life.

Hello Mama Baer :)
I've enjoyed reading all about your family home, thank you for the tour and for sharing your memories. This last chapter is a perfect ending. Just think of the lucky family that will get to enjoy the charms and comforts that the place has to offer - they're in for a treat! Best of all, your mum is happy to move on with her life somewhere new...
Good luck in the voting booth with your wonderful book of poetry - YOU DID IT!!
Best wishes, Debra x

Oh, dear Debra, I am so happy to have had you for a companion along the way this month! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and learning from your work! Thanks, too, for the lovely stars! At this point, the voting booth seems rather incidental?I have learned so much! And I really am happy for my mom. You are exactly right?she looks forward to this new chapter. Thank you again your encouragement and support! Sending lots of good wishes to you. We did it!

You're right about the contest results - it doesn't really matter! The whole process has been an enjoyable journey and I've learned so much and come across writers that I hadn't read before, so that's already a win! (I've still two more chapters to write, so I'd better get busy..... although the sun is shining and the garden calls!!) Have a lovely weekend x

Dear Debra, it has been an enjoyable journey, indeed! So fun to travel the road with you. Your support and encouragement mean so much. Also, sometimes I forget we live so far apart! You were working in your garden in the middle of our night! :)

I spent all day weeding my vegetable beds and now it is 11:35pm! I just finished the challenge - phew!
It's been lovely getting to know you, here's to more writing and reading! x
