This well-written, creative, exuberant poem resonates with me because
I have a son-in-law I think the world of. Aren't we fortunate to have have these lovely people in our lives?!

    Yes, but it speaks equally well about the kind of woman you are and that you made him feel love. I have two Sons in-law that I love identically, as I do love

This is a delightful and colorful birthday greeting and tribute to your daughter (in law), who is really a daughter. I especially like your created word, especially for her..."birthMayMelday." I wish you the best in the contest.

This is a cute poem which shows you love for Mel. Happy belated Birthday to her.
I like the way you cross out in-law. I feel that in-law shouldn't be used for those married into the family. They are just family.
Keep writing and stay heappy.

Hello Debi,
This is an excellent poem for your daughter (daughter-in-law)
I like the clever word play in the Mel May day,
and the fine use of the mono-rhymes.
If she has three sons, she certainly could use time off.
Nicely done with perfect picture.

Like your poem. May Day is a fun day where you leave a basket of flowers as a surprise on someone's doorstep. At least we use to, but some people don't like surprises, so please let them know what the surprise is.....

    LOL! Thanks so much Rosemary! My son used to always leave a basket at his one grandma's house and that seemed to always give her a smile.

Cute Mayday poem. Especially like the line about sunshine when skies are grey. We all need someone like that in our lives. Is Mel your daughter? She's very sweet and gentle and pretty.
