This is beautiful prayer poem. I speaks of the injustice of the innocent and the how the mothers heart cries out and how our Savior who was innocent died to redeem all who call out to him.

Thanks, Papa Mike, for sharing your prayer poem. We need an onslaught of them in today's out-of-control world and what seems to be the beginnings of Gog and Magog. It's always a please to see what you'll post next.

In my opinion, this is a beautiful and gorgeous poem. My favorite line is this: "shattering her heart again." I think that this line is beautiful and sad and wonderful. Excellent job, and thank you for sharing!

Nice memorial for the deceased from all different causes. Key to your poem, I believe, is the last paragraph where you say, 'Your rewards for the just and the unjust.' The perpetrators of some of the heinous crimes we are all subject to will eventually be rewarded.

Thanks for the read.

Well done for this poem. Hebrews 12:18-29 came to mind as I read - the bit that talks about Jesus' blood speaking better things than the blood of Abel. As you say, salvation for us all because He died on a tree of shame.

One thought I had: All of the poem seems to be shorter lines, except for the last part. Could you make that into several lines too?
"I've seen blood spilled throughout our land.
Senseless deaths that never receive equity"
etc.

Amen to these spiritual prayers, dear Papa! Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. Thank you for sharing this. I have made a confession and belief of my faith in Jesus Christ, and was baptized into Christ at 16. Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

I remember the innocent blood that cries out from the ground for vengeance as Able's blood did, I pray for mercy and a turning around of th perpetrators of the crime, beautifully written, blessings Roy
