This is a beautiful poem commemorating a wonderful life. I began reading because I liked the images of nature. I actually thought that appreciation of nature in all it's forms would be the theme of the poem, but the surprise at the end, the only time you mention your relationships with other people come as a delightful surprise. Now I wonder, however, if maybe there should have been more about your lifetime relationships. Perhaps that is another poem altogether.

This was a very touching piece of writing. It reflects on memories from the writer's past, giving it a nostalgic feel. In the end, we find, rightfully so, that the writer is thankful for the opportunities and the events of their life. Superb job!!
