Thanks for your confidence Gypsy! Earned a spot on the podium for this entry so no complaints.
Mark
P.S. It is fictional. I have no pet!

Ciao poet!
You have now two votes!
Going to the vet was always a nightmare.
My two Afghan were true drama queens ( they were males though)
Scoobiedooba was not happy either but at least I could pick her up.
Our cats were even worse .. whining all the way.
The annual injection was a pain in the butt.
Just to get them in their carrying cage was a feat. I had to place cage open on the floor 2/3 days before near their food bowls to get them used to seeing it. By the second day the cats would ignore it.
Then when it was time to leave for vet visit , in one quick movement while the cat I wanted was busy eating I would pick him up and whip him in the cage .
Then I had to secure the opening with chord , I didn't trust just the metal clip.
In the end I got the vet to make a house call for the most troublesome one : Minue..
He would go straight up the curtains/ walls.. once peed on the vet to show his disapproval. ( sigh)

my poem is fictional. I have no dog.
So by osmosis, I will sympathize with your vet scenarios.

and if yours is like mine the minute I leave our drive and head in the direction of our vet, he gives a look of hesitation as if riding today was not the best decision it made.

Tom,
My dog is fictional, but I sympathize with your plight.

I did laugh aloud. Our poor pets hate the vet, even though the vets are just trying to help. If this is a true story, I hope your dog feels better soon. Thanks for sharing!

Jessi,
My dog is fictional. Your plight has been shared with my friends who have dogs, especially those without animal insurance!
