I really like this well written poem. The yellow background helps to highlight your words about spring. The last line is my favorite,"Winter's grip is broken. Good luck in the contest.

This is a beautiful 5-7-5. The thought of summer's magic through a yellow rose. Your words are warming along with the touching artwork. I wish you much success with the contest.

Thank you, I am a fan of yellow flowers, also. In fact I grow yellow roses. Also, I loved your jiyu-shi entry "Bevy of Doves. What an interesting form. I will have to try to write one. Have a great day.

What I liked was the crystal clear image of the yellow rose. The water droplets made it glisten. May I suggest that text and frame be black that will make it look rich! The image mesh nicely with your words. (winter broken and spring is in) It did make me feel refresh inside with beauty. Excellent.

What a lovely useful review, they have become rare. I agree with your corrections, but I need to wait a bit before I can implement them. I am pretty hopeless at "advanced options" Thank you for the positive suggestions.

Roses are my favourite flowers and they have a habit of lifting our spirit and reminding us of the beauty in nature, a fine scene painted here, love Dolly x

Might be true for you but daffodils are the first to spring forth even four months or more before the rose appears where we live. Good picture. Good luck.

Roses bloom in California in May and April. Daffodils bloom earlier. None the less, thank you for a positive review.

Lovely concise poem. My late
husband spent his adolescence in Nacogdoches,
Texas. I don't remember what the yellow rose connection exactly is to Texas, but,
occasionally he gave me
yellow roses. This nice poem
just gave me fond memories.
Thank you. Blessings.

This nature 5-7-5, Yellow Rose, has the right setup and makes me think of one of these beautiful flowers in Texas that I am gonna see; nobody else could miss her not half as much as me. : )
