Lol. Enjoyed your banana poem and yes, it is versatile and I always like to put it into smoothies. I had to laugh at the banana seat comment - never been a grape bike seat ever! Congratulations on the win!!

Thanks so much Helen, you're always so generous with your praise. I think I tied with four other people for first place, or was it second? In any event, there were some good entries. I don't look at as many contest entries as I should. This site is addictive, and I actually have a life away from it. Next month I'll be going to Southeast to get the boat ready for the fishing season. I can't say I'm excited about it. The food situation there is iffy. My friend paid $10.24 for a head of lettuce! Incredible. The only way in or out of town is by plane or ferry, or I could take my boat to Juneau, but that's a six hour trip and the weather can be touchy. I understand that the only airline there in Hoonah raised the rates to $140.00 to go one way to Juneau. It's a twenty minute flight. I can go from Anchorage to Juneau for $182.00. I hate being ripped off. Anyway, for as long as I'm down there, I won't be doing any writing. I have a laptop, but no internet, and I don't want to mess up the laptop with a lot of spam or whatever. I use it primarily for my GPS. When I get back I'll have massive reading to do no doubt. Oh well. OK gal. Thanks again, you're a gem.

Bananas are yummy. I could eat them everyday. I wish they'd last longer. They all seem to ripe up at the same time.

thanks so much for your kind review and comments. You're right, they seem to ripen all at once. I know how to make them ripen quicker, but don't know how to slow down the process. Eat them faster I guess.

My husband loves bananas so he will like this poem too. I am sorry I haven't been reviewing your work. The days have been full of other things, and FanStory gets left out much of the time. Thanks so much Adonna for the fine review. I understand all too well about the days being full. It's easy to get caught up in this site and let other things go, something I can't really afford to do as fishing season is coming upon me soon.
