Beautiful, the children are always the one's to suffer the most. All this madness will leave scars by the thousands. Families lost; uncle and aunts dead; and homes bombed and lost.

I really liked this poem and its relevance to current events. Even though the subject matter is dark, it is something that will need to be discussed with children and I think that is a good way to start that conversation or draw attention to the suffering of the children. This poem for children, Ukraine's Child, is an important poem that fits today's world. I guess I felt the challenge was for a poem for kids, rather them about them. The wording is vague enough though to allow a lot of angles.

A touching poem showing us the heart of the a child. They often blame themselves when tragedy hits because they don't know why these horrible things happen. I like that prayerful ending and we all pray for this attack to end soon! Best wishes in the contest!

What a heartbreaking poem, written with simplicity for a child, but also containing the idea of bargaining with God to achieve an outcome when the child thinks somehow their own behaviour might be to blame and situations can be remedied by being good.
