Well-written poem with the image of relaxing on a porch patio except for the mosquito invasion.
problem solved without the loss of a place to relax.
A very relaxing scene.
Best wishes,
Mary

So glad you are using Gypsy's form and that you were inspired by Cheryl!
Loved your two stanza poem - the first to show us the problem with a patio and the second gives us the solution. I always wanted a sunroom!

I would love a sunroom, too, in my own home. Happy memories!

I've heard those comfy rooms of joy and relaxation called so many things. Patio, sunroom, side parlor, verandah, stoop, gallery, piazza, balcony, terrace, porch, piazza, and loggia; until, Floridians came up with the name lanai. But to me, it was just a quiet place to read or listen or watch a ballgame. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

It was a comfy room! And there is plenty of time in life to read, listen, and watch! Thanks again for the review, Ric!

Love this pair where one poem complements the other perfectly.
Isn't it great when a lot of imagination and a little cash create a much improved living space?
Just adding a postscript about the form. Tanka rules apply so no rhyming allowed in the poems. An easy fix
Stay safe and blessed

Oooo, thank you so much for your correction! I will fix that. I am still such a rookie.

:-))
Gypsy has another new form she's called six feet under. That's not an appealing title to me. LOL

I'm enjoying reading your poems about family life, and I'm also learning a lot by seeing some of these new poetry forms that crop up on this site. Much inspiration and education here.
Thanks for a lovely read.
