Temptation taunts Seductions tease ~Salvation frees~ Maybe 1 and 2 but contrition is needed to have salvation take effect. What I know is the first two are apparently everywhere especially on teevee and in movies. The third available in many churches but attendance is down to 47% of seats filled versus 70% twenty years ago. Which side is winning?

Christianity is a hard sell these days. Faith is a hard sell.

I know why it fails today as in years gone by because when mankind forgets their accomplishments achieved are theirs alone and forget about how gifts are God-given the world spins out of control. Then comes war, destruction, and return to begged for Mercy. Pride goeth before the fall.

Trying to live by the Bible is not easy but with the help of God it's possible.
The 10 commandments :
You shall have no other gods
before Me. ( I do like the idea of Karma )
You shall not make idols. ( I don't pray in front of a picture or an alter)
You shall not take the name
of the LORD your God in vain. ( this one is a tough one .. Italians swear a lot using also religious terms : Madonna and Dio ..Holy Mary and God)
Remember the Sabbath day,
to keep it holy. ( that s not hard)
Honour your father and your
mother. ( I failed terribly on this one)
You shall not murder ( I can hold to this one)
You shall not committee adultery ( this is easy for me to follow) I have had many crushes on actors but never two at the same time ( biggrin)
But for many this is one of the hardest commandments .. attraction begins with a simple glance .. blinkers would help ( biggrin)
You shall not steal ( I did steal a belt when I was young .. it was a test of courage)
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. ( this is not too hard to follow)
You shall not convert ( I had to look what this meant .. I m quite fazed .. don't care a hoot what others have .. my moot is .. there will always be someone that has more than me so what s the use to fret about it and envy .
If we stay strong and on the right path the reward is salvation and eternal life .. that's no small feat , right?
My favourite line is the 4 th.

Staying strong and maintaining the right path is definitely no small feat. There are so many things tugging at our sleeves attempting to lead us away from that path.
