Very pretty poem, Verna. On
my parent's property years
ago, we would gaze at several
deer resting in the autumnal
sun on the edge of the field.
They were so beautiful.
All the best. ~

Well, pish posh on the voting booth today. How does a poem about a garage sale beat something like this? I'll never understand!
This is a beautiful, thoughtful, well-penned poem. Absolutely lovely. Six stars for you!!
Have a great day.

Ode to a deer...how delightful. I loved your poem which is so original. I never thought to ask an animal questions about itself. That was very clever and well written. Great job.

Thank you very much!

Oh, just so lovely.
And as gently beautiful, your questions,
as the doe itself.
Don't their eyes just melt you though?
My entire family hunts, I always wonder...
'How?'
I couldn't shoot this innocence.
Loved this,
blessings...

Have a nice night!!!

This is a really good poem--skillfully and creatively written, moving, and
very expressive, asking questions of the gentle doe about her life, her fears, her children, . . .

This is an excellent ode to a doe for the contest
with very good rhymed couplets
and nice description of the deer and possible thoughts.
Excellent picture to match.
