Very pretty poem, Verna. On
my parent's property years
ago, we would gaze at several
deer resting in the autumnal
sun on the edge of the field.
They were so beautiful.

This is an excellent ode to a doe for the contest
with very good rhymed couplets
and nice description of the deer and possible thoughts.
