The picture and the video were very special, Gypsy. I really enjoyed your words of the Imayo Poem, they showed the grief and despair of a mother left with the burial of her son. No mother should have to deal with that. Blessed be n hugs!

Hi Marival, I also saw that and like you I cried. It's horrendous what is going on in Ukraine. How man can be so evil is quite beyond me. It's a beautiful poem you've written about what happened to that poor woman. Un abrazo, Ulla:)))

I like this poem- it is very heart felt- bringing up lots of deep emotion from this real life tragedy- independently- I might suggest a few more traditional ways of phrasing -like " on the horizon
'Don't cry' - 'howls with' - sadness hangs over the world - that was completely avoidable- good Poem thanks

I read different piece about the little boy Olek.
And how that many people were hiding out in the subways as the bombings were causing much death.
I believe he was only four years old but the video you posted stayed he was as on an adult?
Anyway you look at it there's only losers when it comes to war.
And when it's happening it affects the whole world so it's war against humanity!

Your poem is so moving and I don't think I can even watch the video because I know I'd be crying, too. It's so horrific. There's no reason for this attack and I hope Putin can be stopped soon!

Helen, Yes, you shouldn't watch it. It broke my heart but you can hear the way she was crying so deep sounded like a howl. That is the best way I can put it. It wasn't a regular cry. I can imagine I would do the same if my son was killed right in front of me.

btw... my oldest granddaughter, Bella, got covid. :( but she has been vaccinated and she is so young and healthy, I think she will be okay. Maybe if you can keep her in your prayers. I am too.
