This free verse flows and uses line breaks well.
I wish we all belived in love and could all be as sacrifial in our love as God is. If this were true we would probably have a peaceful world.

Your poem is well done describing the greatest love that has ever been know. So glad Jesus loved us enough to die for our sins. As we make Him Lord of our life, we shed His love to those around us.

I love how you spoke of knowing very little about love. In one of my poems called "Faith to Fly," I spoke similarly of faith. I really enjoyed this poem, and you definitely deserve to be recognized for it.

I think you are confusing the different meanings of the singular English word 'love'. The Greeks had seven different words that can all be translated as 'love'. Clearly God's love (agape - 3 syllable) is different from romantic love - (eros) but they are not mutually exclusive. We should not expect 'eros' to be comparable to 'agape' or feel that 'eros' is somehow of a lower order than 'agape'. They are as differen as chalk and cheese and should not be compared.

I can attest to this, during my 48 year marriage until his death, we fought, we loved and made up. We were like a roller coaster. There was much forgiveness, but it does not mean either one of us could forget.
