When it comes to bugs, they can stay away from the body. Like your poem. The presentation is well written. I will plant lots of marigolds to keep the mosquitoes away this summer.

I didn't know that trick for keeping them at bay! Thanks so much for reading my poem. :)

Good idea. Well written. As for mosquitos I think climate change has gotten the best of them. I hadn't been bitten in Western north Carolina in five years. perhaps my skin has gotten to tough.

I'm not sure if I should congratulate you on being lucky or upset about climate change! Either way though, I appreciate this great review. Have a wonderful evening. :)

Oh my goodness, I an itching all over! Fortunately we don't have too many of these pesky insects here and they are the blight of my life when I go on holiday, I was once bitten 100 times in one day when I visited the Maldives, a fine acrostic, great descriptions, love Dolly x

Hello :)
I enjoyed reading your rhymed acrostic poem.
I agree wholeheartedly with your final 2 lines!
Your poem is well written and presented. I like your use of alliteration in lines 7 and 10.
Good luck in the voting booth.
Best wishes, Debra

My step-granddaughter made the news, a mosquito bit her, and now she is in bad shape. She must be tube fed. She can not talk, etc. In America, she made the news. 'Savanah Strong'. You can read her story on Facebook.
Her mother is Kerri Dooley, my son's second wife. Savannah DeHart Thought She Had A Headache -- Instead, She Had A Rare Mosquito-Borne Virus.

I'm so sorry that happened to her. I hate bugs of all kinds and I have heard that this kind of thing happens. I will check out the story, thanks for letting me know.

Thank you. And the headline on one of the web pages is Savannah DeHart Though She Had A Headache--Instead, She Had a Rare Mosquito-Borne Virus.

This poem made me laugh because it is so true! I also wish there was a way to make those bugs disappear forever. All of your rhymes flowed nicely and great presentation. Great job on this!

Mosquitoes is a cute acrostic poem that rhymes line to line and sometimes uses the same rhyme for more than as much as four lines in a row. The rhymes are common ones that are easy to partner, and the best content of the poem deals humorously with mosquito bite itches in private places. I think the poem would be more striking if it had acrostically succeeded in cleverly naming odd and embarrassing places where these almost ubiquitous insects can bit us. Overall, the poem lacks the bite a poem about bloodsuckers should have.
