They are very noisy insects, also clumsy and I would love to see a real one, here you brought their activity to life as if they have magical powers, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hello Gypsy,
I found this poem a delight to read. I don't know that I've ever lived where there were cicadas, although I've heard them in the backround of movies I believe. You paint the most delightful picture with your words, and I loved the colorful font that you used. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.

This is beautifully written and gives the reader a dreamy vision of when the only sound that can be heard is singing cicadas. it is magical.
A real pleasure to view and experience.

Comment from Ulla
Oh, Marival, I loved this, and I love the cicadas. I can't wait to hearing them again.
We have had the worst rain ever in my part of Spain. At one point we were cut off from the world, all our roads washed away.
Because of that your wonderful poem so resonated with me. Ulla:)))

This is a whimsical description of the sound and effect of cicadas singing at dusk.
I thought stanzas meant no spaces between the lines. With the different colors for each line it makes it seem like separate lines not stanzas.
I like the bookending artwork.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Comment from Gloria ....
I really like the image of the wind standing still. That causes the hush, where the cicadas sing.
This is beautifully done, Gypsy, and a pleasure to read and review. :))

Gypsy,
Your poem is gorgeous. The graphics and your magical words paint a picture if a still summer night--many I have seen as I was stargazing.
The line starting "as passing," is a little hard to read, but your work is excellent.
Good luck with all your writing.
Best wishes,
Cindy

I like your poem- interesting type about illusion- tying it to the cicadas which is certainly a mysterious creature hiding underground for 17 years or so and then appearing all at once- loudly!!! - another illusion- the wind standing still and the clouds covering the moon with magical dust - consistent with the type of poem- good job
