Hi Shauna,
This is a nicely done nonet about a strong symbol of your family's belief. Does this mean everyone in your family has a flag pole? I like the eagle, too. It means you have the two symbols of America in one place.

I don't know what's happened to all the patriotic people that I remember from when I was young. Now we have people who won't even stand for the National Anthem. Treason. My hats off to your father! Thanks for sharing.

Wow, a perfectly formed nonet. I have taught this form and previously had a challenge on FanStory called, "Nonet for the Nines." Y. M. Roger lead it with me and she left about a year ago. I've struggled keeping with it since she left. I think it is one of the most beautiful poetry forms. Thank you for sharing and for your patriotic emphasis. Patriotism seems to be going by the wayside as well. Not me. Sending along my very best to you and yours and for the contest, Sally XOs

Thank you once again, dear Sally! Oh, your challenge sounds like it was fun! This was my very first go at a nonet. I always appreciate your kind and encouraging words.

I enjoyed your flag poem and how the flag pole came to be and to honor the flag, to your dad, it was important to follow flag protocols. I have seen lately that people forget or do not know there are rules in displaying the flag.
Very well done nonet.
Best wishes,
Mary

Hi MB,
I enjoy the nonet form. I also admire the dedication of your Dad to proper flag protocols. We need more Patriotic displays such as that in our country today.
Thank you for sharing.
