"A Take on Everlasting Life" is a lovely piece. I appreciate all points you make about sleep time and historical events. This should be published in newspapers and/or magazines. It projects inspiring thoughts.

This is beautifully written, Ann, and very thought-provoking. I could relate to your beginning when you talked about not getting a full night's sleep most of the time. I'm not much of a philosopher, but your take on life being everlasting makes some sense. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Just a couple of little spags: "Think of it (as) a play you are watching"
"I crawl back in(to) bed..."

This is a well-crafted and very astute post. I thought it would at some point lapse into the traditional and parochial Christian dogma we are likely to see on Fanstory that are based solely on faith but containing not a shred of self-doubt. I'm not knocking that type of faith, but I am saying that your nocturnal mental wanderings took you (and me with you) in a more refreshing direction. It still deals with the mysteries in a wholesome way but doesn't jam dogma down the reader's throat.

Thank you for that. It earned you a six! But I feel I am the real winner.

Jay!!!! Wow - I so appreciate those 6 stars -- especially coming from you. Your comments resonate with my feelings about some of the stuff I read on Fanstory and I, like you, do not knock that sort of faith. I am just thankful I have a God-given ability to think and to question and to evaluate my own experiences.. I'm convinced that ability would not have been given to me were I not expected to use it. Again, thank you for your time and your thoughts. ann

Ann,

This is a truly beautiful essay about the meaning of life and there is nowhere that I can disagree with you. The mysteries of life have taunted me since I began to understand speech. I live with great hope that there will be more clarity on the other side. I do have some concern about where some science is leading us, far beyond discovery and into experimentation in things we never dreamed possible. As with all things, those experiments could have positive or negative outcomes. A few proofreading notes follow.

You are most welcome, Ann. I'm not in a hurry to go, but I do anticipate with hope that I will understand the chaos of life on Earth.

It seems you have been doing some deep thinking. I've been turning on the TV to bore me back to sleep, but maybe I should take your aunt's advice and think about other things. You are correct about where we are is where we will may the most difference. I've quoted that phrase ever sence I heard a pastor use it as his sermon topic. "Blossom where you're planted."

Thank you so much for your time and your kind comments. I can also get bored to sleep by TV -- but, lately, too often I get bored awake = It is a crazy world right now. Again thanks. ann

Very interesting thoughts on everlasting life. I believe God has a plan for each one of us and places us where He wants us. I like your notes, in fact, I jotted that little phrase "bloom where you are planted" in a notebook the other day, thinking of writing a devotional article on it. So glad Jesus came and broke the chains of death, so that we could have eternal life.

Thank you for sharing this very thoughtful post with us. I enjoyed reading and it has caused me to think, a lot. I agree we must grow where we are planted.

Think of it a play you are watching and build the scenes and the characters. (Think of it AS a play????)

As the Beatles sang, 'All You Need Is Love'.
What about the "you-and-Me's" in today's world? - no capital for 'me'
I say whatever your belief, we'll all know the truth soon enough.
God bless and best wishes.

Orderly and philosophically stated the moral and natural aspects, phases and features of life, it appears life has everlasting stand but change is the unwritten law of Nature; though lives are of different in types and rules are different to each one; we can also change our environment; everything changes and cannot end in itself for effect never dies; well said, well done; post more; encouraging God believing good writers-authors. Hello, Annmuma. Thank you for sharing your personal thoughts with us in such a lovely fashion. Though I noticed a few instances of missing words here and there as I read, that wasn't enough to distract me from a beautiful and reflective piece of work. Well done.

I was on my phone at the time, so I wasn't able to. Now that I'm on my computer, I can help for sure! I'll put the words that were missing in capitals.

In the second paragraph, after 'our home in Tioga', the next line should read 'it was A big deal.'

Paragraph 3: ?I woke up this morning at three o?clock and now I?m so tired. I don?t KNOW why I wake up!?

Paragraph 10: Think of it AS (or like) a play you are watching and build the scenes and the characters.

Paragraph 13: once that necessary trip down THE hall is taken

Paragraph 20: ?Olevia, the question is not will we live again, but do we want to? (missing a closing quotation mark after 'to?')

Paragraph 20: but we do have A choice in how we live the forever

I think those are the only ones I noticed. Hopefully, my edits make sense. Also, just wanted to say, that re-reading your work made me appreciate it and its message all over again. Your words are lovely.
