I enjoyed your endearing write. I've had several black cat companions but none with such a royal name. However, they have always looked regal. The most amusing experience with Oliver, the last of the line, was when he saw a flooded yard for the first time. He leapt down to investigate, and as soon as his paws touched water, made an amazing reverse jump to safety.

Thanks for sharing this fun cinquain, Debra

Stay safe and blessed,

Hugs

Julia

A finely rhymed poem about this adorable cat, a sweetly indeed, cats can be noisy sometimes, I hear them at night outside my window, they scream like babies, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Lol. Cute ekphrastic observations about a cat. I guess nosy is a good word for "curious" especially since you are limited to just two syllables. I like how you bookended the cinquain with the "nosy."

I enjoyed your poem about the nosy cat! I recently used the name Nefertiti in a story, but I didn't know what it meant. Thanks for sharing the poem and enlightening me about the name. The picture you picked matches perfectly.

This cinquain, Just Curious, has the right setup and gives the cat its due as being felinely inquisitive as well as all the other idiosyncrasies we associate with cats.
