I enjoyed the read, it was an unusual theme. Your poem stands out and that's why I liked it. I really couldn't find anything wrong. Everything flowed well. Even the picture complimented your words. Good luck in the contest.

Sounds like lots of abuse in this poem. It has to be difficult to write a poem where the words are full of hate, not love; to be in control and to manipulate, too.

I have seen narcissistic behaviour up close and personal and it is not a pretty sight and people like this are selfish and think they are above others, breaking free is the only way to rid yourself of these kind of people, your poem tells the tale here, love Dolly x

Very good entry here, mystery writer. You have used all the required words and your narrative, stanzas, and form are clear. A relationship with a narcissist is one of the most challenging. This poem seems to come from lived experience - great points and commentary made. Best of luck in the contest.

someone who has a narcissist mother-in-law. She
finally told off the MIL after
years of enduring abuse. She
hasn't had to endure the MIL
anymore because she banned MIL from her property.
