Your work reminds me of the prodding of one of America's great presidents( God forgive me for forgetting his name), who kept on saying that, "the greatest gift to the future is by giving all to the present."
Yes, you're right to say, "Heaven can wait." Yes! So long as your GIVING adds value to the future your recipients.

You have a strong steady beat in your words. I like the verse 'heaven can wait as I now must navigate". You have a smooth flow of rhyming words with an almost musical feel. Excellent poem full of emotions and a spiritual feel.
