I'm so sorry I've been stumbling about trying to catch all I miss as the days slip away from me with this illness or that grandchild's needs!
-
What illness? Don't scare me. Please let me know. I take care of my grandson full time and it's very hard to find the time to write and review. Don't worry about the reviews, there will always be more. Please take care of yourself, sweetie pie.
Hugs!

Sorry! Didn't mean to scare you! I'm doing well for an old bird!

MariVal,
I like how the font color shows the colors of the sky and lake at the twilight described in this poem. This is good metaphor of the reflection along with good personification of the lake.
Congrats on winning the contest.
Keep writing and stay heatlhy

Love "soaks up twilight" It's absolutely delightful on so many levels. Just draws the reader into your write. Indigo is a great colour choice for the lake. Dark and mysterious. A little melancholy. You triggered my memory and I'm listening to Mood Indigo by Duke Ellington. LOL
Good luck in the contest.
Stay safe and blessed, Julia

That is so cool! I liked the way you helped us see and feel the cooling colors of the indigo lake and how it absorbed / soaked up the twilight. Gorgeous picture, too!

Interesting poem- good picture presentation- tells of a beautiful lake shifting in temperature as the sun sets at the end of the day- taking in and reflecting the twilight sky - good job
