How astute. I loved the humor but am sad that such things are even considered to be taught especially to our youngest offspring. Who have we elected to be wagon-master?

No doubt. It's flat out ridiculous how sadly true this is in some places. Thank you for the great review and stars, Tom. I'm glad you liked the piece. Yes, I was being humorous but again, unbelievably true. Have yourself a great weekend.

Nice story relevant to today.
I like works that tell the history of a time.
Works like this while provocative are in fact a telling of today.
Nice twist at the end.

That was quite a tale in just 75 words! I definitely didn't see that coming, which is great in flash fiction. Thanks for sharing this here. Keep up the good work!

Hello author, very good 75 word flash fiction. You can always count on children to be honest and direct ... "That I might be a boy."
Welcome to Education 2022-style. Well chosen photo. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

My six year old grandson came home from school with some interesting comments too. The children have had enough to endure just getting through masks and the pandemic. Can we just let them be children?!

Really. I know. I'm fairly certain there's no 6 or 7 year olds wondering what gender they think they are. Thank you again, LB

They are at the stage of life when they don't even know/realize that boys and girls have different personal parts...to be polite.
