I love this little form....almost as much as I live that adorable dog! You are do right! Who could ever get angry at that face? Innocent of all charges I say!

Hi Debra,
Nice Whitney for the picture. The dog's eyes remind me of the pooch in "As Good As It Gets", one of my Top Ten favorite movies, starring Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, and Greg Kinnear.
"Why can't I be cross with you?!" ...You can't. Maybe for a moment, but it won't last.
"Dig a hole
or chew my shoe?"
Verdell, the star pooch in "As Good As It Gets" was a Griffon Bruxellois (or Brussels Griffon). They cost about $750 in the USA + shipping.
Like your pug, big sad eyes. So cute.

    Good Morning, Debra
If you've never seen "As Good As It Gets", you'll love it.
The movie stars Jack Nicholson as a misanthropic, homophobic, and obsessive-compulsive novelist, Helen Hunt as a single mother with a chronically ill son, and Greg Kinnear as a gay artist who lives in the same classy apartment building as Jack. The film was released in theaters on December 25, 1997, and was a box office hit, grossing $314.1 million on a $50 million budget.
Nicholson and Hunt won the Academy Award for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. The movie was nominated for Best Picture but ultimately lost to Titanic. It is ranked 140th on Empire magazine's "The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time" list.

Who wouldn't fall in love with this little Pug.

The Whitney for is an inspired choice here, you rhythm and rhyme works in spades.

I truly enjoyed this offering, Debra and thank you for sharing. :))

Because you're so patient and kind hearted. And you love your pet. Perhaps it's your children's pet but you care for it nonetheless. A sweet poem in the Whitney form.

There is something about the eyes of a dog that steals one's heart away. A dog can convey so much with just a look. This is well-executed and I enjoyed reading it. I look forward to more of the same.

Aren't mischievous puppies the best (or worst, depending on your point of view)? Your poem was so cute. I also like the picture you chose. Thanks for sharing.

Such a sweet write, Debra. I vaguely remember the Whitney form. My grandpup Finn has virtually chewed up the house. But he's still regarded as the Prince of Cuteness by his adoring human siblings.

It's a cold wet spring day here but you've warmed the cockles of my heart with this poem.

Stay safe and blessed

Julia
