A tender and sweet one for the contest. My husband and I took care of his mother four four years in our home along with nurses and caregivers. It was most difficult at the end. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,

Oh, that's so sad. You're giving me a glimpse of what it might be like for my father in another year or so. Right now he can feed himself and dress himself etc. But how hard it is to see a loved one lose abilities so fast. Great job with your dialogue. Best wishes in the contest!

Such a long hard road, for everybody, when this is the situation. It really is the full circle back to early childhood. I like the repetition of "I'm so tired" - that could apply to both parties.Suggestion: "Drink all your milk" (not "you"). Best wishes for the contest.

This is a sensitive and moving post and you certainly fooled me here. When there is talk of bibs and diapers and spoon feeding, we automatically think 'baby'..... It's heartbreaking when old age and illness brings these things around again.

This is a sensitive and moving post and you certainly fooled me here. When there is talk of bibs and diapers and spoon feeding, we automatically think 'baby'..... It's heartbreaking when old age and illness brings these things around again.

This breaks my heart too. Of course I thought you were talking to a little grandchild, but instead I find you have talking to a mother whose mind has slipped away by dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. The caregiver has lost the one they love and the Mother has lost all of her precious memories. What a horrible disease. You still love them and care for them but they are no longer there. This is great for the dialogue only contest.
