Clouds are interesting subjects .. i love to watch them drift by.
Sometimes I search for shapes that recall something... there are so many types .. I love the whipped creamed ones.
But I do appreciate the darker, stormy ones too. When I was young I loved to ride my bike ( without brakes) in stormy weather.
Contortionist is a cool word to describes clouds
The last verse is my favourite.
tears roll of your cheek as rain
I could see even the word pain fit
In pain , to me gives more meaning to the word tears.
And it rhymes with hurricane still.
Either though I still love your poem , glad I finally reviewed it.
Happy Easter to you Trask and your family members!

What a lovely poem in so few words! My grandson and I not only watch the clouds for pictures, but he is into whirlwinds and anything vortex. A hurricane has a great voice! And your poem proves that God speaks through the clouds, if we are just willing to listen! Beautiful!

Those clouds are beautiful, cirrus clouds forming nimbus clouds before rain. I often imagined if only we could float around on those clouds. They look like cotton from an airplane. Thank you for posting.

this is a very nice poem and a great entry for this competition. I particularly enjoyed the ending where you say "your anger sparks the hurricane"- This is a great line, it contrasts with the rest of the poem in a very interesting way. Thanks for sharing
