Death and money wrangles seem to be inextricably entwined. Descriptions of the 'tearful' mistress and 'haughty' widow direct our sympathies. It seems the mistress will have his heart AND his money, but also left with his absence.

This short story was well written. This story starts off strong. What a contrast at the end that the mistress was his lawyer. Your picture complimented this story well. Nice job.
