Great thought-provoking flash fiction. The story of the tractor made us feel for the neglected tractor in his retirement days. And then the conclusion is how poorly seniors are treated. I think the world has much to gain from engaging with seniors who have so much to offer.

So true. I worked in many nursing homes and was heartbroken. Alleged, one family member in 1994 called the facility and asked, "Could you tell me when so and so is going to die? We want to go on vacation."

I like this and I certainly understand and agree with your point of view as to how we treat our elderly. Glad you're getting to write again and flash fiction is a great way to get a point across without going on and on.
My only suggestion would be to really edit your work before submitting it, especially if it is for a contest. Double words, too little or too much punctuation - that kind of thing.
