So very nice. . .such wonderful memories for you. I may have to try the bottle exercise and find those wonderful memories of my own. Well written and a fun read. Best of luck in the contest.

I was lost from my own thoughts and taken into your space long enough to feel the joy of happiness in your post. I
really enjoyed reading your poem. I love the picture.

Hello
-This is a wonderful, reflective piece. Very nostalgic. (like themes in works of, Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time)
-Recalls memory through the senses. Favours sensory, interspersed with scenery in certain places. Excellent!
-A strong interior voice.
-With the bottle now open, stanzas 3, 4, 5 could work very well in the first person, present tense. This is where the memories you describe are so vivid and you have released the energy into the open air, brought them back to life again in your poem, purely in my opinion.
-This poem has the most beautiful passages, inspired by memory.
-Very well executed.
Excellent work! Good luck on your entry.

Yes, this reader shares the Speaker's desire to have bottled his past so he, too, could pull out the stopper anytime to enjoy the elixir of memories. I like how you recount school days and sledding and the holidays in a manner we can easily visualize.
