You know, what truth that becomes evident is the fact that while the Jewish religious leaders were accusing Jesus of blasphemy and other crimes, they were guilty of violating many of God's laws. Chief among them was judging unfairly, a total disregard of mercy, and so many others. I would love to hear their explanation at judgement day. No matter what our resentment may be, we cannot ignore or violate God's laws or commandments without the expectation of punishment.

Beautiful poem about the attitude of forgiveness which is so necessary for spiritual health. Jesus certainly modeled it for us even on the cross as He took His last breath!
Thank you for sharing the wisdom you gleaned from all your experiences traveling the world. I grew up with that same generational anger as my parents grew up under Japanese occupation of Korea. But my mom always had friends who were Japanese so I could see the difference - one can hate the government but not the people.

I always am reminded how human I am when I see suffering brought on by a dictator. A couple weeks ago our sermon at church was about forgiveness and every day I pray that I become a better person so I can forgive more. Your poem and description brings that home to me.

This is well written. I can't say I agree with all of it, but I do understand where it/you are coming from. I wish it was that simple. Just a matter of hate. But I don't think so. All human emotions are involved, and all can lead to the same darkness, even love can kill.

We suffer from the same problem here although it has taken on a new form. It's been resurrected from the civil war between the states, even further back to our nation's founding. Men can only forgive if they know forgiveness. I find that in Jesus Christ.

The Bible does not even mention race, only the God's a people or tine worshipped. It interesting how color has become a thing. To God, it's not. Only the human race. Interesting huh? Sending you my best today as always,

Yes, generations have grown accustomed to war generation after generation . . . Your poem spells it out well, Roy. The image is devastating and to think man has done it and continues. Your words were well chosen with great meaning and a message to all.
